  • The Manglik Dosha Maze

Let’s talk about something that’s been causing a lot of trouble in the world of matchmaking – the misunderstood and often misinterpreted concept of Manglik dosha in Astrology. This idea, often misunderstood and wrongly interpreted by some less educated pundits, has made it tough for many people to find the right partners. As a result, this has led to the rejection of numerous potentially harmonious matches and put many meritorious matrimonial alliances on hold, making it harder for today’s youngsters to find someone to marry.

Basically, the Manglik dosha is based on the placement of planet Mangal (Mars) in one’s birth chart. Simplistically speaking, there are 6 mangalya Bhavas or houses in an Astrological Chart which have direct bearing on the individual. These bhavas are the Lagan or Self (1st), Family, Food habits, Savings & Speech (2nd), Domestic Sukh (4th), Spouse (7th), Longevity of Marriage (8th) & lastly Sleep & Bed Pleasures (12th). If Mars happens to be placed in these houses, traditionally this combination it is called a Manglik Dosha.

However, this dosha has been unfairly demonized, causing unnecessary anxiety and hindrance in the quest for marital bliss. But here’s the thing – the Manglik dosha isn’t the be-all and end-all of matchmaking. There are lots of other ways to match Manglik horoscopes by using the placement of other Krura planets like Sani, Rahu, Ketu & Surya and by using the Divisional Charts like Navamsa (D-9), Trinshamsha (D-30) and using other concepts like the Hidden or ‘Chupa-hua-Manglik Dosha’ (ie Manglik dosha equivalent combinations which have to deciphered in the chart) etc. Also the matching should relate to the magnitude or the impact of the potency level of the dosha in individual charts (Highly, normal and low manglik)

While it’s important to consider Manglik dosha in matchmaking, it’s equally crucial not to overlook other significant aspects of life – like how good the other person is, their family status and merits etc.

At ASTROSUKHH, we go beyond the Manglik dosha maze. Our approach involves unraveling the complexities of all doshas in the Kundlis through a technique called Dosh-Samya Milaan.

Together, let’s shift the focus of matchmaking towards finding genuine happiness and understanding between couples. By carefully considering both the positives and negatives of each horoscope, we strive to create harmonious and fulfilling relationships.”
